We are thrilled to share the highlights from the 5th Annual Chapo Fest 2024, a heartwarming event held in Nairobi Chapel Ongata Rongai. This year’s celebration brought together 44 teenage mothers, their children, and over 10 dedicated volunteers, including members of the church fraternity, for a day filled with joy, support, and connection.
What Made Chapo Fest Special?
Empowering Teenage Mothers: The event focused on donating essential food items and distributing Christmas gift hampers to teenage mothers, ensuring their families felt cared for during the festive season.
Community Cooking: From kneading dough to flipping chapatis, everyone came together to prepare delicious meals, turning cooking into a shared experience of love and teamwork.
There was fun for all ages; where the mothers enjoyed a sense of community, the children were treated to games and activities, filling the day with laughter and play.
A Day to Remember
One of the most memorable moments was the shared laughter as mothers, children, and volunteers cooked and dined together. A participant shared, “It’s not just the food; it’s the love and care that we feel here.”
