Last week, Birth and Beyond had the honour of being represented at a closed-door roundtable with visionary founders and social impact leaders from across the sector. It was a space held with intention — designed not for visibility, but for strategic alignment, honest storytelling, and meaningful exchange.
The individuals in the room were not just leaders — they were legacy builders. Many of them began with ideas that were once considered too ambitious or impractical. They faced skepticism, misunderstanding, and seasons of silence. But they stayed the course.
Their stories reminded us that everything we are building today at Birth and Beyond has precedent in persistence.
We were deeply inspired by:
- The courage of those who have gone ahead,
- The clarity with which they have built structures from dreams,
- And the collective wisdom that reminded us — the process can be trusted.
We came away affirmed.
Not because we have “arrived,”
But because we are firmly on the path.
In many ways, Birth and Beyond is still in the thick of it —
⚙️ Designing, refining, proposing.
📩 Sending emails, nurturing partnerships.
🧱 Building programs that hold space for teenage mothers and young women to thrive.
And yet, last week served as a quiet declaration:
“You are not behind. You are simply being trusted with something sacred.”
We remain committed to:
- Walking this journey with integrity,
- Holding space for collaboration and co-creation,
- And showing up, even in the silent seasons.
To all our peers in the social impact ecosystem — especially those still becoming — we see you. We honour your work. We are grateful to be walking this path alongside you.
The future is still unfolding — and we are ready.

I am Patricia Njeri, a community mobiliser, speaker, and advocate passionate about creating safe spaces and second chances for teenage mothers and vulnerable girls. I founded Birth and Beyond as a response to a gap I felt deeply — the need for dignity, skills, and support systems for young women navigating early motherhood. With a background in grassroots engagement, public speaking, and program design, I focus on building bridges between communities and opportunity. I believe in impact that starts small but runs deep — and I am committed to work that restores hope, unlocks potential, and shifts narratives. Every day, I show up for the girl who feels unseen. That is my why. That is my work.
